I think we have some of this sort of thing in the USA—that is, the camp extravagance of oversize symbols, usually for products. But it seldom survives the development of the modern city, and we have a lot of those. Obviously, the next several pictures will somehow concern pineapples. See the cute little kid at the bottom of the pineapple, cleverly inserted to provide a sense of scale? Actually, she just wanted her picture taken—again. No problem.
